The Disabilities Success Kit is intended to help coordinators, counselors & learning specialists of student disabilities programs improve the academic success of their students. Most students with disabilities don't complete their academic program due to poor study skills, high-test anxiety, ineffective/inappropriate accommodations and poorly trained tutors. Coordinators need learning materials that students can individually use with minimal guidance. Students also need trained tutors that can improve the cognitive learning skills, expecially in mathematics.

The Disabilities Success Kit is designed to indepently help students improve their learning and to train tutors. Students take the computer evaluations for general study skills or math study skills and receive strategies to improve their learning. Students also listen or watch the audiotapes and videotapes on reducing test anxiety and improving test-taking skills. Additional books and tapes can be ordered to lend to the students. Coordinators can also develop orientations, workhops or courses to improve their students learning.
